I grew up loving the music of Prince! I stated many times how our local radio DJ "Mojo" played his music like no other. Prince broke his records in the D, played secret listening sessions at small local bars and as the 'Purple One' stated himself just how much he loved Detroit. And boy did Detroit love him back. As the anniversary of his passing approaches I decided to release this one for the DJ's in particular. I remember going to a "Purple Passion Party" (An all Price Gig) right before I moved away from Detroit in the late 90's and it's still one of the best gigs I've ever attended. The vibe was just so incredible. The DJ who I had never heard of played underground remixes and B-sides all night long. The crowd absolutely went crazy. I remember I had a sprained ankle and was out in the middle of the floor with my walking cane, dancing as best as I could. A night I will never forget... (LOL) R.I.H to one of the all time musical G.O.A.T's!!!
