This tutorial will teach you how to save multiple audio files with the same settings as a batch process. You can apply match loudness, favorite presets, change audio type, sample rate and then export all at the same time.
Use Cases:
This is great for podcasters who want to quickly format a bunch of .wav files that have been edited and quickly apply a favorite preset, Match Loudness and export as mp3 ready to upload as a podcast.
Great for stripping audio from video and wanting to quickly Match Loudness and save all audio as the same format.
How To Add a Folder of Audio:
Select folder from computer and drag into ‘Files’ panel in Audition
If you do not see ‘Files’ panel go to Window…Files
How To Use Match Loudness:
- Match Loudness is a great way to batch process audio to similar audio levels and is also used to bring your podcast loudness to broadcast level standards
- Drag All Audio onto the Match Loudness Panel
- If you do not see ‘Match Loudness’ panel go to Window…Match Loudness
- Enter settings (I use -19 LUFS for Mono, 0.5 Tolerance, -1.5 Max True Peak)
- Press Run and Audition will Match Loudness on all files in the panel
Podcast Loudness Standards:
-16LUFS (Stereo)
-19LUFS (Mono)
How To Export All Audio:
- Go to File…Save All Audio as Batch Process
- You can also go to Window…Batch Process to open panel
- Add a ‘Favorite’ preset if desired
- Add Files by dragging in panel
- Remove audio files by pressing the Delete key
- Press ‘Export Settings’ and choose Browse to save on computer
- Change Sample Rate, Format in the dialog box
- Press OK
- Press ‘Run’ to start the batch save process
- Check folder on the computer when the process is complete and your audio files will be ready.
