Today we're sharing our eventful ferry ride from Fukuoka, Japan to Busan, South Korea. When booking our Japan trip, it was way cheaper to fly home from Seoul than from Tokyo, so we decided to end our trip with a few days in Busan and Seoul. Rather than flying from the south of Japan to Korea, we opted to try a rare international mode of transport: hopping on a boat!
This was only our fourth time ever taking an international boat ride although we've been to 100 countries, which speaks to how rare this mode of transport is between countries!
We are Oskar and Dan, and we believe that anyone regardless who they are deserves to live their wildest dreams! For the past eight years that we’ve been together, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world👨🏼🤝👨🏻 In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and inspiring you to chase your dreams🗺

We started our trip in the Keihanshin region, which is Japan's second largest metropolitan area after Tokyo, made up of the cities Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Nara, and other smaller ones. After eight days around this region, we hopped on the Shinkansen bullet train twice, first to Hiroshima and then to Fukuoka. From there, we took a boat to Busan, South Korea (we were SO excited about this ferry ride between Japan and Korea!) before catching a train to Seoul and flying home from there!
