EVEREST BASE CAMP- A triumph of mind over body.
This is my story and chronicles of an incredible experience. This is my story of the Everest base camp done during December 4th week with chilling temperatures reaching -20C during nights : This was a life changing experience, and made me realise just how truly nature dwarfs us.
Full Itinerary :
Day 1 - Katmandu (4,593ft / 1,400m) - Lukla (9,334ft / 2,845m) to Phakding (8,563ft / 2,610m) to Monjo (9,301ft / 2,835m)
Day 2 - Monjo (9,301ft / 2,835m) to Namche Bazaar (11,286ft / 3,440m)
Day 3 - Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar (11,286ft / 3,440m) with hike to Hotel Everest View (12,729ft / 3,880m)
Day 4 - Namche Bazaar (11,286 ft / 3,440 m) to Phunke Tenga (10,662 ft / 3250m) to Tengboche (12,664ft / 3860m)
Day 5 - Tengboche (12,664ft / 3860m) to Somare (13,156ft / 4010m) to Dingboche (14,468ft / 4410m)
Day 6 - Acclimatization day in Dingboche (14,468ft / 4410m) and acclimatization hike “up the hill” up to 16,676ft / 5,083m
Day 7 - Dingboche (14,468ft / 4410m) to Thukla (15,157ft / 4620m) to Lobuche (16,108ft / 4910m)
Day 8 - Lobuche (16,108ft / 4910m) to Everest Base Camp (17,650ft / 5,380m) to Lobuche (16,108ft / 4910m)
