Around 3:15 PM Brick Township Police got a call for a reported structure fire. The caller stated that the house was on fire. Brick toned out a General Alarm for a working fire, they then received more call's saying the fire was extending to the next home. It was immediately upgraded to a 3RD before anyone was on the scene. CMD reported a gas-fed fire with two, two-story wood frames that were mostly or fully involved. CMD requested Toms River Station 29 & 27 for their fireboats as the house was on a creek. Toms River Station 29 for the FAST and to the scene along with Station 75 Point Pleasant Boro and Station's 42 & 43 with two engines to the scene. Town-wide response from Brick Town Fire. After about 45 mins the main body of fire was knocked down. The fire is being investigated by Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the Brick Police Detective Bureau and the Brick Fire Safety Bureau.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Brick Fire Safety Bureau Chief Kevin Batzel at 732-458-4100. No further information is being released at this time.
