After a few weeks of tinkering Clayton Boyer's Genesis clock is up and running. Initially I wanted to cut all of the gears on one of my DIY CNC machines but I found that for the escapement wheel my CNCs weren't quite accurate enough. Surprisingly I found that it was faster to cut the escapement wheel with a scroll saw than to use the CNC. (And possibly even more fun?) I still have some fine tuning to do and some finishing as well but the clock runs reliably for a full wind now with no stopping. It's a really fun project. Thanks for taking a look!
