AND AT At #1.............................., the unforgettable shower scene in 'Psycho' 1960. I agree that with as many horror movies that have been made since Psycho, it seems crazy to put this as the SCARIEST, but it's out of respect because this death scene is truly what started it all. I put the shower scene at #1 is for a bunch of reasons. Here are a few.

1. Because for over 40 years it's been the most memorable and most talked about death ever in a horror film.

2. Because without this death scene there wouldn't be half of the death scenes that there are in horror movies.

3. This death is the BIG death scene that really started true horror.
