The Test of Valor in this stage has some really annoying enemies, especially since the last wave makes it hard to recharge your health. Volf can be dangerous too, but the strategy I use here is pretty stable against him. When he's open, don't try attacking him twice in a row - if he decides to block, he can counter your second hit and immediately start attacking. With the Dragon Sword, hit him once with Y to confirm the hit, then quickly follow up with two more Y attacks if the first one connected. After the combo ends, you can hit him once more with X to reset him; he'll usually block, then start his next attack, so just dodge that and repeat. There's also a cheesier strategy you can use by running really far away from him and waiting to punish his big leap attack, but that's not much of a fight, so I'd rather not do it.
This video took a little longer to finish than I would have liked, I'll try to finish the next chapters faster. (´･ω･｀)
