Houellebecq Atomised: The End of Annabelle (Video 6)

Annabelle is a key figure in the novel, a woman capable of love but unable to find it in the new sexual regime. She has several aboritons, but ends up becoming pregnant from Michel. Cancer cuts short her pregnancy and her life. This video talks about the significance of the fact that Annabelle cannot find love. Further research into Annabelle is needed, as her character seems based on a character in an Edgar Allen Poe poem (one of his last). Something will come of that in the future.
