Possible fix for non-working WD My Passport

My WD My Passport 4TB portable hard drive was not showing up on my computer. Its front LED light would sometimes appear, though it would be dim or not show up at all.  Wiggling the USB cord would sometimes allow me to see it, but only for a brief moment.

If you are having the same issue my video may be of some use to you, as I am able to fix mine. It ended up being a resistor 000 (which is just a jumper) that was poorly soldered onto the HDD boards pad. To fix the drive I just needed to re-flow the solder joint.
