The BMW Berlin Marathon is one of the six Abbott World Marathon Majors (the other five marathons are Boston, Chicago, London, New York City, and Tokyo) and is known to be the fastest and one of the flattest marathons in the world. In fact, 12 world records have been set at the Berlin Marathon during the last 48 years of this event. The 2024 BMW Berlin Marathon will be the 50th Anniversary. It is difficult to get into the Berlin Marathon, as spaces are normally only available thru a lottery system. However, Longry was able to get into the 2023 BMW Berlin Marathon thru Marathon Tours and Travel at a cost of $300.00. However, that cost included the entry fee, the pre-race dinner, and the post-race celebration. As a result, it was higher than the typical entry fee for the BMW Berlin Marathon.

I can only honestly report that Longry has had a good experience with Marathon Tours and Travel when she ran the Berlin, Great Wall, and Tokyo Marathons. When you run the BMW Berlin Marathon, you also get your very own sightseeing tour of Berlin at the same time. The course is only open for six hours and fifteen minutes. The time limit is based on once you pass the time measuring mat. There are two required cutoff points: 33KM must be completed by 3:50 P.M. and 38 KM must be completed by 4:35 P.M. The start time for the Berlin Marathon is 9:15 A.M.
As you run the Berlin Marathon you will see some really interesting people, sights, and buildings. If you want to challenge yourself; try running the BMW Berlin Marathon.
