A mixed bag of a vlog, as I decided to combine my long run shoe test with a bit of half marathon spectating.
I got out for my first run in the Mizuno Wave Skyrise 3, and plotted a route that took in a bit of the Helsby 4 Villages Half Marathon. Its a local race, which is always well supported and popular with those who have ran it. I've never ran it, but may do in the future as a fun blast, with a long downhill section to finish.

As for the shoe review, the Mizuno's were everything I thought they would be, and I'm delighted I picked them over the Shift 2 which were pitched as a much firmer shoe. These Wave Skyrise 3's and really comfortable, nice high stack and surprisingly responsive for the size of them, due to the Enerzy Core technology.
I've got 2 more shoes left to test in my 2024 rotation, my speed shoe and race day shoe, and once they're done I'll be diving into a training series around the 10k. Look out for those over the next week or so.......
