How to get started with the world of virtualization within the world of the Kernel-based Virtual Machine, KVM.  No mastery of Linux is required to get started making VMs with KVM.

To be able to follow the steps in this tutorial you need the following prerequisites.

1.  A physical host for that will be the KVM host, with an installation of a server distribution of Linux.  Here's a tutorial on how to install a server distribution of Linux:  Installing Fedora Server on Hyper-V  (Hint:  Don't fear it, it's easy! :)

2.  A client machine with Linux installed that has a GUI (graphical interface).  This can be a desktop, laptop, or another VM hosted on another system.  The installation steps for a Linux server distro are the same for the workstation distro, except you'll make sure there's a graphical desktop installed.

3.  Willingness to dive right in and start learning about the Linux hypervisor, KVM!
