October 20, 1954 - Message 6084 from Jesus through Bertha Dudde
What I administer to you is truly a healing medicine for your soul, through which it may heal and become capable of an eternal life in bliss. Yet what use is it to you if you don't apply it, if you are well aware of its healing power and yet refuse to take it... what use is it to you if you listen to My Word but don't live accordingly... thus the strength of My Word cannot take effect in you. You possess a very effective remedy, and yet you do not test its effectiveness, you allow yourselves to be advised by Me, as your soul's physician, but you do not follow My prescriptions and thus cannot recover either, even though you are in the hands of a good physician...
Your will does not carry out what I advise you to do, and therefore you remain in a wretched state and your soul's hardship does not diminish... It must suffer because you deny it help. The soul's suffering results in earthly hardship, because with this I wish to make you realize that your way of life is not the right one... that it endangers your soul, and therefore it must be on its guard not to lose its life... Yet I can only ever offer it that which helps it... If it does not want to accept My means then it will remain in illness and misery, and it will not be able to enjoy spiritual life...
For this reason it will not be of much use to you, even if you listen to My Word, as long as you don't make an effort to live accordingly... for only then will you receive strength, if you become active by fulfilling My commandments of love. Only when you work with love on earth will you yourselves be permeated by the strength of My love, and this signifies the recovery of your soul, it signifies a state of life in strength and light... I would like to help you all achieve this, and therefore I urgently admonish you to move My Word in your heart and act accordingly...
I admonish you not to treat your soul's life carelessly, but to immediately give it the strength which will help it to recover... I admonish you to approach Me if you cannot do it by yourselves, if you are too weak to carry out your own will... I will give you the strength, if only you turn to Me in trust, if only you call upon Me in your heart and confess your weakness to Me... For I am always your physician and helper, He who will never abandon you to your fate... I wish to save those who are sick in body and soul... Amen
