The EV and Hybrid car movement is well underway, but the Countach Downdraft 25th Anniversary is the perfect rebuttal. The carbureted V12, the angular design, the ultra-wide stance... this supercar icon is the antithesis of the hybrid car. It is pure romance, from the sound of the Lamborghini V12, to the smell of the leather. While I have no doubt the EV and hybrid car movement will continue to expand, I hope that these gasoline-powered works of art continue to retain their legendary status and capture the hearts of many. For me, loving the unloved Countach 25th Anniversary is a labor of passion - understanding its place in the world of supercars of the '80s and '90s, and its significance in the development of today's modern supercars and hypercars.
