YouTube released the trailer for
YouTube released the trailer for season 2 of their smash hit Cobra Kai today. The series absolutely launched the subscription service for YouTube that was initially called YouTube Red and is now YouTube Premium. It reunites the two main characters from the 1984 The Karate Kid movie, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprised their roles for the series as it explored a redemption story for one of the 80s greatest villains in Johnny. The season saw him trying to put his life back together as he reopened the Cobra Kai dojo due to the insistence of the nerdy Miguel Diaz (Xolo Mariduena). This brings Johnny in conflict with his old nemesis LaRusso who is a very successful owner of a string of dealerships in their old town. This motivates LaRusso to train Lawrence’s estranged son in a final confrontation with Diaz that also sees the return of Sensei Kreese (Martin Kove). Season 2 already teases that we will see more with Kreese, a bigger confrontation between Johnny and Daniel, and the possibility of Alli (Elisabeth Shue) showing up to be a part of this season.
