Fr Seraphim Aldea from Mull Monastery – the Orthodox Monastery of All Celtic Saints on the Isle of Mull in Scotland – continues the introduction to Prayer by Night by addressing the most common temptations we encounter as we begin to take our spiritual life seriously.
After we discussed despondency in our previous video, this time we talk about the bad, evil thoughts that attack our mind at the beginning of prayer. The purpose of these attacks is to make our minds impure just as we approach Christ, so as to push us again into despondency.
