The annual Bristol Balloon Fiesta is taking place. 120 hot air balloons will soon be taking off. As they are only a short distance from Bristol International Airport, air traffic control is keeping a close watch on proceedings and keeping the balloon pack informed of weather and flying conditions. The balloons don't show up on the airport radar. To clarify communications only one or two balloon pilots communicate with the control tower and then pass on messages to the rest of the pack. When a large jet starts its approach to land some balloons are a bit close and it proves quite difficult to get a message to them to move as so many of the pilots are talking on the frequency.
