Some 300 years ago, the area known today as the 21st Ward of Philadelphia was the hunting grounds of the Native American Tribe known as the Lenni Lenape. Some of the first settlers to arrive in the area were a doomsday cult lead by a mystic hermit from Transylvania. The main road into the area was a Native American trail; it was eventually built up into the Ridge Avenue and was even part of the Underground Railroad. During the American Revolution, a group of soldiers were brutally massacred along the Ridge and that's only the first twenty minutes of Nik's forty-minute film! In Roxborough and Manayunk: Tales of the 21st ward of Philadelphia, Nik brings 300 years of fascinating history to life.
