This long-winded review of the 2024 Golf GTI focuses on the demise of the manual transmission for the 2025 model year. The car remains excellent in every way but I can't help but believe that the GTI dies in 2024... And no, I did not forget about the Jetta GLI, it's simply not a GTI replacement.
