드므의 건축 컨셉
유네스코 자연유산인 아름다운 제주도.
북쪽으로는 한라산이 위치하고 남쪽으로는 제주도의 또 다른 명산인 산방산과 단산이 자리하고 있다. 이 두 산 사이를 이어주듯 펼쳐져 있는 푸른바다를 안고 드므가 자리한다.
입구로부터 길게 나 있는 가로수길은 마치 숲 속의 성을 찾아 들어가는 기대감의 설레임을 주게 된다. 늦은 오후 제주의 아름다운 석양에 붉게물든 8체의 드므는 산벙산이 물들고 백록담이 물들 듯 제주의 자연의 일부가 되기를 바라는 마음으로 건축계획을 하였다. 거대한 자연석을 가지런히 잘라 놓아둔 듯한 드므의 단순하고 거대한 건축은 아침 햇살에 눈부시게 반짝이고 주변의 그림자들을 그대로 새기고 자연의 변화에 같이 뭍혀 버리는 마을 어귀의 돌담과. 오랜 시간 홀로 오롯이 견디며 자라준 아기동백나무와 같기를 바란다.

제주 바다의 강하고 습한 바람을 막아 주고 안전하고 편안한 주거환경을 위해 높이 6미터와 길이 102미터의 담을 두르고 그 안 큰 마당에 회랑과 집이 앉혀져 있다.
큰 대문(1500x4450)을 열면 벽천의 물내림 소리와 나무와 풀들이 은은히 채워진 마당이 펼쳐지고, 사방으로 열려 있는 건축구조를 가지고 있어 누각을 닮은 본체가 마당 중앙에 배치된다. 입구로부터 이어지는 긴 회랑은 이 본체(누각)와 각 공간을 연결해주고 햇살과 비와 눈과 새소리가 채워지는 물의 정원을 거닐 듯 우리의 옛 회랑을 닮았다.
드므는 물을 담는 큰 그릇을 의미한다.
물은 생명이고 떨어져 있는 것들을 이어준다.
“빌라 드 드므”는 이 안에 사는 사람들에게 큰 행복을 주고 그래서 사랑하게 하고 그렇게 사람들을 오래오래 이어주기는 행복한 집이기를 바라는 마음으로 설계를 했다.

位于联合国教科文组织自然遗产中的美丽濟州島。 北方耸立着韩拉山，南方是濟州島的另一座名山山房山和丹山。而在这两座山峰之间，蔚蓝的大海如同连接两者的纽带，悠然伸展。从入口延伸而来的林荫大道仿佛是进入森林城堡的期待与激动。在傍晚时分，濟州島美丽的晚霞将八个DeMoo染成深红，如同山房山和白鹿澗般，期望融入濟州自然的一部分，这是我们构建这座建筑计划的初衷。DeMoo简单而巨大的建筑，宛如整齐切割的巨大天然石块，在清晨的阳光中闪耀，仿佛是村庄墙角的石墙，深深地铭刻着周围阴影，希望像独自忍受多年的山茶花树一样，与自然的变化一同沉浸其中。
濟州海峡的强劲湿润风被高6米、长102米的墙围绕，墙内是一个宽敞的庭院，庭院中有会廊和房屋。打开巨大的大门（1500x4450），墙头的水声和木头、草地温和填满了庭院，而建筑结构四面敞开，如亭台般的主体坐落在庭院的中央。延伸自入口的长廊连接了主体（亭台）和各个空间，犹如漫步在水之庭园中，宛如我们古老的长廊。
DeMoo意味着盛水的大碗。 水是生命，它连接着分离的事物。 "Villa De DeMoo"的设计目的是为住在这里的人们带来巨大的幸福，让他们爱上这座房子，使人们长久地连接在一起，是出于对幸福生活的愿望。

Beautiful Jeju Island, a UNESCO natural heritage site, is surrounded by the blue sea that stretches out between the majestic Halla Mountain to the north and the scenic Sanbangsan and Dansan Mountains to the south. Nestled among these two mountains, Villa de Demoo overlooks the expansive blue sea.
The long avenue of trees leading to the entrance gives the feeling of entering a castle in the woods. Inspired by the beautiful sunsets of Jeju, the eight buildings of Villa de Demoo are designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape, resembling the stonewalls of a village nestled in the shadow of Sanbangsan. The simple and massive architecture of Villa de Demoo, which appears to be made of neatly cut natural stones, sparkles in the morning sun and merges with the changing natural surroundings, like the old stone walls and the solitary camellia tree that has grown over time.
To provide a safe and comfortable living environment protected from the strong and humid winds of the Jeju sea, a six-meter high, 102-meter long wall surrounds the Villa de Demoo, and inside it, a large courtyard is adorned with a corridor and a main house. When the massive door (1500x4450) is opened, the sound of the water flowing from the wall fountain and the faint sounds of trees and grass fill the courtyard, and the main building, which resembles an old pavilion, is situated in the center. The long corridor that extends from the entrance connects the main building (pavilion) and each space, resembling the traditional Korean pavilion that connects the water garden filled with sunlight, rain, snow, and birds songs.
Demoo means a large vessel that holds water. Water is life and connects things that are separated. With the hope of providing great happiness to those who live in Villa de Demoo and creating a happy home that brings people together for a long time, the design of Villa de Demoo was designed with love and passion.
