Robotergestützte (De-)Montage von Elektrokleingeräten

Elektroschrott wird aktuell geschreddert und nach Materialien getrennt, wobei Gefahren und Störstoffe wie Batterien vorab manuell entfernt werden müssen. Das Fraunhofer IPA hat eine Roboterzelle zur automatisierten Demontage von Elektrokleingeräten entwickelt. Es ermöglicht neben sortenreinem Recycling auch die Reparatur oder Aufarbeitung funktionierender Geräte. Dies ist im Kontext der neuen EU-Direktive für »das Recht auf Reparatur« besonders relevant.

Das Video zeigt, wie ein Industrieroboter eine Batterie aus einem Staubsaugerroboter austauscht, indem er ein automatisches Schraubwerkzeug und einen Vakuumgreifer verwendet.

Electronic waste is currently shredded and separated by material, whereby hazardous and disruptive substances such as batteries have to be removed manually beforehand. Fraunhofer IPA has developed a robotic cell for the automated dismantling of small electrical devices. In addition to mono-material recycling, it also enables the repair or refurbishment of functional appliances. This is particularly relevant in the context of the new EU “Right-To-Repair” Directive.

The video shows how an industrial robot replaces a battery from a robot hoover using an automatic screwing tool and a vacuum gripper.
