Why is “Godfather” the greatest movie of all time? A movie that was released all the way back in 1972, why is it still a favorite of cinephiles? Why do people love this movie so much, why do filmmakers consider it a cinematic masterpiece?

First of all, let's take this apart: loving a movie and saying "a good movie" may not be the same thing. Sometimes a movie reminds you of some things about your own life. You may find the plot of the movie personally important. We may like some movies more than others for various reasons. There may also be films that we call "good" for their cinematic or artistic value, even if they do not have a personal meaning. There are people and huge universities, academic establishments that consider the art of film as a serious business, a serious discipline. In other words, it is possible to research, read and analyze movies with objective criteria in order to call a movie "good". We are talking about a subject so broad that a philosophy can be built on it: Cinema. When we put all these "serious" criteria on the table, Italian-American director Francis Ford Coppola's movie The Godfather, in Turkish BABA, has always been at the top since the day it was shot. Let's question that. Why?
