DL 44 blaster pistol (Han Solo's gun)
Han Solo laid down some suppressing fire with his trusted DL 44 blaster pistol which brought the scoundrel time to escape. Each shot from Han''s pistol resulted in a concussive blast, and even a near miss proved capable of incapacitating nearby soldiers who were not directly struck by a blaster bolt. Near-head sized craters were blasted into the walls of Docking Bay 94 and one shot explosively removed a torso sized chunk of masonry! Two stormtroopers were incapacitated by explosive blast effects like shock waves and shrapnel, and neither one was hit directly by a blaster bolt.
Han Solo clearly had his blaster set to a higher-than-kill power setting in this instance as the same level of destruction turned against human targets would surely be very gruesome (possibly resulting in explosively blasting the human target apart (like a BMG or small autocannon).
This magnitude of destruction would be gruesome overkill for dispensing with infantry and firing a blaster at maximum power also limits the number of shots that can be fired before reload (Han fired about half a dozen or so in this scene). Usually a blaster could fire many hundreds or thousands of shots before reload when set to kill.
