With a fortified Old Town, over 2kilometers of city walls, and an abundance of history, Dubrovnik is a city that must not be missed on your Croatia bucket list!
Here are our top things to do in this medieval city:
1. Enter the city through Pile Gate and across a drawbridge as you're immediately transported to another world!
2. Walk the 2 kilometers of City Walls. These walls were once used as a defense against invaders and run the entire length of the Old Town, reaching up to 6 meters high in some locations! These City Walls make for stunning views out across the sea and to Lokrum Island
3. Take a boat ride to Lokrum Island. This green island just off the coast of the Dubrovnik Old Town features a botanical garden, fortress ruins, nudist beaches, and resident peacocks!
4. Walk along the polished marble Stradun or main street. This street has been walked upon for centuries and is the heart of the Old Town of Dubrovnik.
5. Be mesmerised by the impressive architecture at the Dubrovnik Cathedral
6. Visit the Old City Harbour and see the fishing boats lined up along the shore
7. Discover St. Blaise's Church in the centre of the Old Town
