How To Make Muhallebi | Malabi Milk Pudding |
Malabi is a popular Middle Eastern dessert. It is so easy to make, refreshing and such a great dessert to make when in a hurry. This is a traditional recipe that is served with rose water syrup, ground coconut and chopped pistachios. It is great dessert for hot summer days.

Ingredients:
For Malabi:
- Milk 500 ml
- Sugar ¼ cup
- Corn flour 3 tabs
- Heavy cream 200 ml
For Rose Syrup:
- Sugar ½ cup
- Water ½ cup
- Lemon juice 1 tsp
- Rose water 1 tsp
- Few drops food color
For Serving
- Desiccated coconut
- Chopped Pistachios
Method:
- In a saucepan add milk, sugar, corn flour and heavy cream.
- Whisk for mixing everything.
- Place on stove and turn on the flame.
- Cook on medium flame, stir it continuously, until mixture is thick and boiling.
- Immediately pour the malabi mixture into glass or cups.
- Refrigerate at least 2-3 hrs or overnight.
- In a saucepan add sugar and water, stir to dissolve the sugar, bring it to boil.
- Add lemon juice, rose water, food color and stir mix.
- Now syrup is ready and let it cool completely.
- Pour some syrup on top before serving.
- Sprinkle some coconut or chopped pistachios or any other topping you like.
- Serve cold.
