1967-68 Television Season 50th Anniversary: Accidental Family (opening and title credits)

Sheldon Leonard was one of televisions pioneers, producing some of television's very best series including Make Room For Daddy/The Danny Thomas Show, The Andy Griffith Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show.  

For the 1967-1968 season, he continued his incredible run as a premier television producer with five series in primetime:

The Andy Griffith Show (CBS)
Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C (CBS)
I Spy (NBC)

and two new debuting series -

Good Morning World (CBS)
Accidental Family (NBC)

Today, we'll look back at the series Accidental Family, which starred everyone's favorite funnyman Jerry Van Dyke and the lovely Lois Nettleton.  The series ran for a half a season, premiering on September 15, 1967, and ending its run on January 5, 1968.
