Big Setback For INDIA Alliance: Mamata Banerjee Says 'TMC Will Fight Alone In West Bengal'

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha without any alliance. She cited failed seat-sharing talks with the Congress, a key member of the bloc.
"Whatever proposal I gave them, they have refused everything," Banerjee said, adding, "Since then, we have decided to go alone in Bengal."
This move by Mamata Banerjee comes a day after she traded fire with Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
