Can BMW's SMG be as good as the manual transmission?
One of our subscribers (Mike Bader) is confident that with a good software upgrade, and the right techniques, the SMG can be just as rewarding as the manual.
At Accelerate we are massive fans of the BMW E46 M3 and have only ever experienced the manual gearbox, so were very intrigued to understand where Mike was coming from.
Join us as we take a good look at this beautiful example of an M3 made in BMW's golden era! We put the car through it's paces on some Welsh mountain roads and compare it to the manual M3 we had previously featured.
