A LIST OF THE VIEWS:

- Skygarden at 20 Fenchurch Street, EC3M (aka The Walkie Talkie Building)
One of the most famous free viewpoints in London for a reason - the views are stunning! Walk-in tickets are available, but make sure you get there early to avoid being turned away. You can normally reserve your tickets a week in advance here. It is 100% free: https://skygarden.london/booking

- One New Change, EC4M 9AF
A viewpoint at the top of a shopping mall, giving you the best view of St Paul's Cathedral.

- The Tate Modern, SE1 9TG
The top floor of the Blavatnik Building is an open viewing terrace, boasting spectacular 360-degree views of the London Skyline. Enjoy a drink and snacks from the bar as you see across the River Thames, St Paul’s Cathedral, and as far as Canary Wharf and Wembley Stadium. Also, the Tate Modern is amazing to wonder around. Do it!

- King Henry's Mound, Richmond Park
You won't find on many other lists about London viewpoints. It's a real hidden gem. This is an official protected view of St Paul's Cathedral. This means no one can build anything in its path and the greenery is kept in good shape so as not to block the view.

- Emirates Airline Cable Car
Ok, no, this is not free, but you can pay for it on your oyster card as means of getting around. A return trip is £9 and you get to see a really cool perspective of the city. Plus, it's just really good fun! You can jump on at Royals Docks or Greenwich Peninsula terminals.

- Greenwich Park
Climb to the top of the hill in Greenwich Park and outside the Royal Observatory you will find a fantastic viewpoint in front of the statue of General Wolfe. You can also check out the origin of the meridian line.

- Vertigo 42 Champagne Bar, Tower 42, EC2N 1HQ
This one will cost you some money, but nowhere near as much as the View from The Shard. For £15, you can enjoy some drinks and admire this stunning luxury viewpoint. Make sure you check comparison websites to see if there are any afternoon tea or drinks vouchers.

- Primrose Hill, Regent's Park
This is my favorite view of the city. Get there for sunset, bring a bottle of wine and spend the evening watching the sun go down. It does get busy during summertime, but that only adds to the atmosphere. This is also a really good spot to check out the New Years Eve fireworks display.
