How to do a quick and easy water change on a big fish tank

In this video I show how I do a quick and easy water change on my 6ft African Cichlid tank.
There are 3 main steps:
- Using a syphon to remove poo
- Pumping out the remaining water into the garden
- Adding prime then using a hose to refill the tank straight from a tap
**Some important things to remember are**
Large changes to water chemistry can cause shock to fish and result in death!
- Always ensure you are adding water that is a similar temperature to your fish tank water
- If you don't normally do large water changes, do not do a huge water change out of the blue, start with smaller more frequent ones
- Make sure you add water conditioner
- Avoid doing do a huge water change AND cleaning the filters out, as it can result in an extreme loss of beneficial bacteria, break your cycle and cause a spike in ammonia/nitrites
