Tribute to the PBS KIDS Logo

After 23 years, PBS KIDS is officially retiring its iconic logo used since 1999 (slightly modified in 2013) and using a brand-new logo tomorrow.

It may have been a logo, but I've considered it the symbol of my childhood. I grew up with PBS KIDS and that recognizable green thought-bubble logo with Dash and Dot were there during the days of Mister Rogers, Sesame Street, Arthur, Barney, Teletubbies, Between the Lions, Zoboomafoo, Dragon Tales, and MANY others.

Every time I look back on watching PBS KIDS as a child, I'll always think about that wonderful logo and how it brought so many wonderful shows together.

For me, the new PBS KIDS logo isn't awful and it's something I can live with. But it's something that will take a LOT of getting used to, and it doesn't have the same charm or aesthetic as the original one did.

As a result, I wanted to make this special compilation of the original PBS KIDS logo through the years, from its debut in 1999 until now in 2022.

Thank you for all the memories, Dash and Dot.
