Yam Cake (Or kurh)
It is an famous snack originated from Hokkian people, and favorite in many Asian countries such as Malaysia and Singapore.
It is also a simple snack that made from yam with rice flour and some seasoning ingredients..
Below is my mum passed on recipe and method of doing the yam cake, this recipe is the most flavorful and tender in texture that I ever eat.

INGREDIENTS

800g Yam
300ml Water
200g Rice flour
500ml Water
½ tsp Peper powder
½ tsp Five spices powder
1/2 tbsp Salt
½ tbsp Sugar
Fried Shallots
Fried Dry shirmps
Fresh Red chili
Spring onions
