Lets learn to knit socks two at a time using the Magic Loop Method of knitting in the round!
(Cuff down, two at a time, with a heel flap and gusset)
In this tutorial I will show you the method for how I knit socks two at a time on the same needle. I will go over how to split your cake of yarn to get started, yarn management - how to best avoid a mess of twisted and tangled yarn, and also how to keep both socks on the same needles while doing the heel section.
Below is a list of supplies that I used in this tutorial.
Supplies Needed/used in this tutorial:
- Fingering weight yarn: I used the Summer Sock Camp Colorway 2020 by Desert Vista Dyeworks. This colorway is no longer available but she has some amazing Colorways in her shop! https://www.desertvistadyeworks.com/
- US 1/2.25mm 40" circular knitting needle: https://amzn.to/2P5LPtd
- Scale (for splitting yarn into 2 even cakes): https://amzn.to/39H2oFw
- Lightbulb stitch markers: https://amzn.to/307GKXD
Times for the tutorial (if you want/need to skip ahead!)
- Caking/Splitting your yarn: 2:28
- Cuff #1: 7:43
- Cuff #2: 15:15
- Leg: 20:16
- Heel Section: 31:36
