Blue Nile Cafe in Kansas City Offers Rich, Colorful Ethiopian Food

Blue Nile Cafe is one of the many food gems located in the River Market neighborhood. Kansas City Star reporter Mará Rose Williams shows why it's her favorite place for Ethiopian food.

She recommends the sampler platter, with palm-filled mounds of five dishes — like dor watt, saga wat, ye beg alicha wot, and gomen. They're placed atop the injera. You eat with your hands, tearing off small pieces of injera and using it as the utensil, pinching morsels and savoring every perfect bite.
