A short vid of a Saturday morning visit to Straford TMD. Taken back in the Summer of 1991 we see a lot of stored and withdrawn locos including some class 50s and one of the 31's that fell down an embankment at Staples Corner, Brent Cross. There was a general air of dereliction about the place although it clung on to life until 2001 when it was shut and the loco servicing and Train Crews were moved into a new place built at the Lea bridge end of Temple Mills Yard (although this proved short lived as the site was needed for the new Eurostar Depot). The old depot is now under the Westfield shopping centre with the Tap East bar being around the spot of the Outlet Cabin in happier times past!
