A policeman kicking Muslims during their prayers in India causes outrage

A viral video in which a policeman kicks Muslims during their prayers in New Delhi, India has caused outrage. Muslim worshippers had spilled out onto the streets when the Mosque nearby became overcrowded during the Friday congregational  prayers.  They denied blocking the roads and said a narrow pathway beside the mosque was being used while the traffic was flowing smoothly.

The policeman was identified as Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar Tomar and said he was suspended while further disciplinary actions is to be taken against him.

India's approximately 207 million Muslim population has long complained of oppression and their systematic targeting under Modi’s government. Modi has been serving as the 14th Prime Minister of India since May 2014.
