This PC is an Asus from 2007 with 2gb of ram, an 80 gb hard drive and an Intel Pentium D processor running Windows Vista Home Premium. The computer has Microsoft Office 2007 installed. The version of Windows Media Player that is installed is Windows Media Player  11. The web browser that is used is Mypal and it gets its internet connection directly through a Lan connection.

Windows Vista is a version of the Microsoft Windows operating system released at the end of 2006. Windows Vista is built on the NT 5.X codebase. Windows Vista would be the first version of Windows to introduce gadgets with the sidebar and the Windows aero theme. Windows Vista would also bring about a huge change in the style of the interface with transparency effects and cool 3D effects like the Flip 3D feature. However transparency and Flip 3D would not be available on editions of home basic and starter. These would also not be available if your computer did not meet the requirements for the feature to work properly. Windows  Vista had a very long development starting shortly after the release of Windows Xp in 2001 under the codename Longhorn. Due to mismanagement Longhorn would be delayed many times passing its planned release date of 2003 until it would be reset in 2004 due to the implementation of too many features resulting in the codebase becoming very unstable. The project would then be restarted and completed by the end of 2006. However, due to the rush to finish as a result of the reset the OS would end up being a bit unstable. Also due to the long gap between Xp and Vista many people upgrading would not be able to run Vista properly due to the high system requirements of Windows Vista. Many would complain about the OS being too bloated and unstable. Many of the stability issues would be then fixed by service packs 1 and 2 and many new computers of the time were then designed to run Vista. However, due to the botched release the systems name was now associated with being unstable that very few people wanted to move to Windows Vista and chose to remain with Windows Xp. Support for Windows Vista would end in 2017.
