Son Tra is an Peninsula consisting of 3 mountains. The southeastern mount looks like a Nghe image is looking to the sea, (Nghe is a legendary animal in Vietnam culture, it mixed of a dog and lion), so it is called Hon Nghe. The western mount is shaped like a hawk bird beak, so it is called the Mo Dieu mount (hawk beak). And the northern mount stretches towards Ngu Hai mount on the other side of the seaport as long as a horse's neck, so it is called the Co Ngua mount (Horse Neck). Over a long period of time, the sea flowing along the coast have loaded alluvial to gradually build up a soil line stretching from the mainland to the island. Son Tra Peninsula formed from that time. Nowadays, at these mount formed famous tourist areas such as Bai Rang, Bai Da, Bai But, or Dong Duong resort. Especially, this place has Linh Ung pagoda, an ideal destination for Buddhists and even non-Buddhists.
Along with Hai Van's mountain system in the north, Son Tra peninsula in the south connect into a bow shape to create a bay named Vung Son Tra, or also known by many other familiar names like VungTien Sa, Vung Thung, Vung Han, Da Nang bay. Thank to such a position, Son Tra is like a shield protect city from storms or tropical depression which moving in to the city.

The Quang noddle is quite salty, because of cooking according to local taste, who doesn't eat salty taste, Khoai does not recommend to visit this shop. Here, I see beef and chicken meat Quang noodle are the best. But the taste is still SALTY.
- Son Tra Tinh Vien (Vietnam Bamboo Conservation Institute)
Tho Quang, Son Tra, Da Nang, Vietnam

This place also preserves about 100 types of bamboo from all over Vietnam. Pretty cool and quiet, especially there are many pigeons.
- Linh Ung Pagoda - Bai But, Son Tra - Da Nang
One of in the three temples named Linh Ung in Da Nang. I don’t know whether it was accidentally or due to the predestined that all three temples were located on the prime locations of Danang City, forming a sacred triangle in the city. Linh Ung Tu Bai But is the largest, newest and most beautiful pagoda in 3 pagoda.

56 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang
It is similar to pepper cake, but inside is thick and spongy, and extremely fragrant with butter, only 2000 VND, it is very worth trying.
