In this video, I share a three year project. It started with a concern for the wild turkey and has led to more opportunity for me as a habitat manager, a land owner, and spiritual opportunities. We sheared over 20 acres of Eastern Red Cedar in 2021 and now we have 20+ acres of early successional habitat. We have seen the increase of turkeys. I'm sure you heard the quail in the back ground. The deer havent changed either. This stand is due for a burn, lot of grass, but that's what I've been waiting for. I have put boots on the ground for 3 years dragging a 2 gallon Dewalt hand pump sprayer and now with a Birchmeier back pack sprayer I can stay on top of the invasives. It's still a work in progess. Conservation is never finished. It is a love for the land and for the next generation.
