DSP (DIgital Signal Processing) is widely used in many field in electronics - it replaces old inductors, capacitors, resistors and many other things for filtering signals.

There are many specialized chips that can do that, some are pretty expensive. This video explains one example how to apply such filter on STM32 using ADC and DAC, which does not exist by default on STM32F103C8 I am using. Yet it is possible to do DAC by using PWM or so called "R/2R resistor ladder". I rather chose for this video one that can be made very quickly - PWM. This codes will be uploaded to my website http://wildlab.org once I make decision what to include into this filter. I am using FIR (Finite Impulse Response), but there exist also IIR (Infinite Impulse Response), which is not covered by this video. The purpose of this video is just to bring you idea that it is possible  to do on our small MCUs. The codes are now available on my webpage: https://wp.me/p7jxwp-uO
