A painting long believed to be a skillful imitation of a masterpiece by Botticelli has been revealed to be from the studio of the man himself – all through clever uses of conservation science. Here, we explore the scientific techniques used to uncover and conserve this wonderful Madonna and Child, on display at Ranger’s House in London.
