If you are chasing some serious payload then this is the ultimate kit for you. Whether it be for work or for touring this kit has plenty to offer with a 4495kg GVM upgrade and a 4000kg towing capacity.
This system doubles your factory payload and adds half a tonne to your towing capacity whilst still maintaining excellent ride comfort and handling.
With a fully loaded Landcruiser you will be pushing or exceeding the limits of generic GVM upgrades, with a 3.5T caravan you are also cutting it fine with the standard towing capacity. Play it safe and allow yourself a safety margin!
Included in the package is a 300mm chassis extension, this allows additional tray space and further enhances ride comfort. The extension also shifts weight onto the front axle which helps with weight distribution, excessive rear axle weight is a common issue amongst touring vehicles.
As part of the package we convert the rear suspension to coil springs, this is the biggest key to achieving higher pay load and providing ride comfort at the same time. Springs & shocks are selected for both ends of the vehicle to suit the application and desired ride height (2, 3 or 4 inches available).
One hot topic in the Landcruiser scene is rear wheel track, as part of the package the rear diff housing is replaced with a fully fabricated item. This corrects your wheel track and is much stronger than the standard housing with a rating of 3000kg, for this particular kit it is de-rated to a rear axle rating of 2850kg.
There are two diameter options for tyres, you can opt for a 33 inch tyre or a 35 inch tyre. These will be supplied with load rated rims as a package to comply with the rear axle load of 2850kg.
When you are carrying some serious weight or towing heavy loads you do need to ensure the vehicle can brake safely. The 79 series has less than impressive brakes from factory so when we increase the weight and run big tyres, it is essential to upgrade the braking system. For this particular kit a hydro brake booster is fitted along with a set of braided brake lines to improve the stopping power.
A few other items included in the package are a stainless steel exhaust system, long range fuel tank, heavy duty clutch, speedo correction, rear winch cradle and an inbuilt towbar.
