DL Hughley shared a reminiscent account of a confrontation with George Lopez. The conflict allegedly sprang from accusations that Hughley had stolen one of Lopez's jokes; a claim Hughley completely dismisses. Hughley asserts that he had performed the contentious joke about parents serving as human remote controls for TVs years before Lopez. Proclaiming to have audio-visual proof, he explains the difference in recording quality between their respective jokes. Apparently, the heated dispute led to a physical standoff, which diffused when Hughley made a peace offering.
