Airlocks are defined as barriers between 2 controlled areas and consists of two or more than two doors meant to regulate the passage of air. It is a small compartment which has a differential pressure than its surrounding area for maintaining the cleanliness of clean room.
Air locks helps to protect the classified area from the contamination that may occur during the entry and exit of personnel and material.
 Air lock prevent the direct air flow between two different area.
Air locks controlled the air changes.
Air locks creating a pressure barrier.
Airlocks are closed means having two or more doors between two different controlled area
Air locks are called:
1.    PAL – Personnel Air lock (for used for personnel entry)
2.    MAL – Material Air Lock (for used for material entry)
