Glentress Black Trail - Oh Boy It's Hard, But Epic!

Another day in Scotland and
Another day in Scotland and where better than the popular Glentress trail centre. It's free to ride and cheap for parking on site. Glentress has plenty of trails on offer and you'll find them all listed here.

A majority of us chose to hit the black. It all starts off so easy and we were laughing joking for miles, then it hits you like a brike in the face. The climbs are savage and seem to go on for miles and miles. Well that's because they did. The trail makes you pay big time, that's for sure. Especially after riding 3 days prior which didn't help.
The views are just stunning at certain points of the trail and that makes all the effort worth while. I couldn't wait to hit the descents, but the back brake bleeding out caused me no end of bother when I wanted to hit it hard.
All that said I still managed to get down pretty fast considering and safely which was the main thing. If you've never been, like I say it's totally worth doing but bring some good legs LOL. Enjoy.
