Malaysia 1952: Kebun Bahru, kurungan, Johor, fighting

I can make head nor tail of these private shots, but they seem of historical interest specially for the present population in that area. One viewer remarked: My late grandad called this settlement as 'kurungan' (cage) rather than calling it 'Kg Baru' or 'Machap baru' (New Village).
