This video covers a lot of ground with MIDI integration in OnSong. If you are new to MIDI, this video may be a bit advanced. We show you how to connect your iOS device using Bluetooth MIDI and then control a BeatBuddy drum machine pedal right from inside OnSong.

In this tutorial we show you how to:
• Review the BeatBuddy foot pedal
• Use MIDI to control a hardware instrument
• Connect Bluetooth dongles to MIDI cables for wireless setup
• Sending tempo using OnSong as the MIDI clock
• Sending tempo as control changes to supported hardware
• Triggering actions in OnSong from our MIDI foot pedal
• Changing songs (rhythm and drum set) by sending MIDI Bank Select and Program Changes when loading a song
• Basic MIDI sync commands (start/stop/continue) and connecting that to the audio playback live bar button in OnSong
• Configuring hot corners to send MIDI when tapped
• Using a foot pedal to select sections and forward pedal triggers
• Have sections send MIDI program changes to transition to parts of a song
• Using the song editor in OnSong to configure MIDI commands on chord charts that are not text-based like PDF or Word.
This is an advanced course in MIDI integration in OnSong. You can learn more about the basics of MIDI in OnSong at http://onsongapp.com/docs/features/midi/
