Main to sub alignment is one of the most highly requested topics I cover on the channel. Why is this? My take is this is one of the last crossover frontiers we as audio engineers IN THE FIELD have control over. Everything else is handled by the manufacturers in the boxes. No longer are we soldering our own passive crossovers to hand off mids to highs. Subwoofers are their own separate box, so we've got to take care of business.

Today's video removes many of the variables that muddies the waters when it comes to Main and Sub alignment. We're focusing on the fundamentals of the physics of sound and how it affects getting summation (energy working for us) throughout our crossover range (where our mains and sub overlap).
