Tajrish bazaar has been built according to architectural style which closely resembles the traditional bazaar located in downtown Tehran. Some of its arches have been destroyed due to construction of multi-story buildings and its traditional identity has been threatened by irregularity of window shops and external view of new stores. “According to ratification by Tehran Municipality, the bazaar will be organized according to a new plan which will be implemented in cooperation with Tehran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. ” The official further stated that the project will take 18 solar months and the cost of organizing this economic and trade center in north Tehran has been estimated at about 28 billion rials.
Tajrish bazaar includes a roofed passageway through which thousands of people pass en route to paying pilgrimage to Emamzadeh Saleh or to the Bazaar for purchasing goods.
Tajrish (Persian: تجريش, pronounced [tædʒˈɾiːʃ], also Romanized as Tajrīš)is a neighbourhood of Tehran, capital of Iran. Administratively it is in Shemiranat County, Tehran Province. It used to be a village and later was absorbed into the city of Tehran.
The Tajrish neighbourhood is located along the northern edge of Tehran. This neighbourhood is one of the oldest parts of Tehran and during the last few decades, has become popular with the wealthy by virtue of the low levels of pollution, in turn created by the area's favorable location along Tehran's northern hills. Tajrish is situated in the Shemiranat County. As of 2006, the neighborhood had 86,000 inhabitants.
The Tajrish square itself is known as Sar-e Pol-e Tajrish (Persian: سر پل تجریش) which means At the Tajrish Bridge. This square is actually a vast bridge on top of a qanat river. In older times the locals used to call this bridge Gowgal, meaning "[The Bridge] of the Cow Herd
The Deputy head of Tehran Beautification Organization for technical affairs, announced that the bazaar is close to Emamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum as well as Velenjak, Darband and Darakeh mountain resorts and its renovation is a top priority for Tehran Beautification Organization. The official noted that the project will include reconstruction of the traditional market using both traditional and modern styles, wastewater collection, power, gas, telecommunication installations, as well as repair of small and large shops and passageways.
بازار تجریش بر اساس سبک معماری ساخته شده است که شباهت زیادی به بازار سنتی واقع در مرکز شهر تهران دارد. برخی از طاق های آن به دلیل ساخت بناهای چند طبقه تخریب شده و هویت سنتی آن به دلیل بی نظمی ویترین ها و نمای بیرونی مغازه های جدید در معرض تهدید قرار گرفته است. بر اساس مصوبه شهرداری تهران، بازارچه بر اساس طرح جدیدی که با همکاری سازمان میراث فرهنگی، صنایع دستی و گردشگری استان تهران اجرا می‌شود، ساماندهی می‌شود. این مقام مسئول در ادامه گفت: این پروژه 18 ماه شمسی به طول خواهد انجامید و هزینه ساماندهی این مرکز اقتصادی و تجاری در شمال تهران حدود 28 میلیارد ریال برآورد شده است.

محله تجریش در حاشیه شمالی تهران قرار دارد. این محله یکی از قدیمی‌ترین نقاط تهران است و در چند دهه اخیر به دلیل پایین بودن میزان آلودگی و موقعیت مطلوب منطقه در کنار تپه‌های شمالی تهران، مورد توجه ثروتمندان قرار گرفته است. تجریش در شهرستان شمیرانات واقع شده است. در سال 2006، این محله 86000 نفر سکنه داشت.
میدان تجریش به سر پل تجریش معروف است که به معنی کنار پل تجریش است. این میدان در واقع پل وسیعی است که بر فراز رودخانه قنات قرار دارد. در زمان‌های قدیم مردم محلی به این پل گوگال می‌گفتند، به معنای «[پل] گله گاو».
بازار سنتی محله تجریش در مدت 18 ماه با هزینه ای حدود 28 میلیارد ریال بازسازی می شود.
معاون امور فنی سازمان زیباسازی شهر تهران از نزدیک بودن این بازارچه به مقبره امامزاده صالح و همچنین تفرجگاه های کوهستانی ولنجک، دربند و درکه خبر داد و نوسازی آن از اولویت های سازمان زیباسازی شهر تهران است. این مقام مسئول خاطرنشان کرد: این پروژه شامل بازسازی بازار سنتی به دو سبک سنتی و مدرن، جمع آوری فاضلاب، تاسیسات برق، گاز، مخابرات و همچنین تعمیر مغازه ها و معابر کوچک و بزرگ خواهد بود.
